This attractive coin has cartwheel lustre, and the lustre is exceptional for the date and grade. The surfaces are somewhat proof-like, with minimal marks consistent with the PCGS MS63 grade. It has been off the market for over 17 years.
PCGS has graded 9 coins in MS63, two in MS63+, and only two in MS64, with none graded higher than MS64. PCGS price in MS63 is $20,000, and in MS64 is $60,000, or 3 times the MS63 price! It is most likely that some of the 11 coins submitted in the MS63 and MS63+ Pop Reports were submitted more than once. This coin is toned a lustrous light silver gray on both sides. It is housed in an Old Green Holder (OGH).
