1832 50C Large Letters O-101a Capped Bust Half Dollar PCGS AU58+ (CAC) - SOLD

This is about as close to a "Wow Coin" as you can get for a circulated half dollar. It has cartwheel lustre, color, and flash! Both sides are toned in various shades of gold (including yellow, gold, and reddish gold), gray, and a little blue mixed in. It has the diagnostic heavy die break for O-101a from the eagle's left (facing) wing to the olive leaves. This Large Letters Type and O-101a die marriage is somewhat conditionally rare in AU58 and MS grades. This is the only example graded by PCGS as AU-58+, and is CAC Approved.
