1827 50C Square Base 2 Overton 139 Capped Bust Half Dollar PCGS XF45 - Sold

This beautiful 1827 Capped Bust Half Dollar was recently acquired from an European Collection (London). It was raw and stored in a paper 2X2 envelope since the 1940s or 1950s when this collection was formed.

This coin has luster and color!  It is toned a medium to slightly darker gray with deep firey gold, both covering the lusterous surfaces. Surfaces are virtually mark free. This R-4- die marriage was sent to PCGS only once, and has not been sent to CAC and is a premium example for the grade.
