This is the Eliasberg Specimen of the very rare 1823/2 Quarter. Formerly from the World's Greatest Collection (F.C.C. Boyd, 1945). Beautiful original toning over nice surfaces overall, with a few light scratches on the reverse. This coin ranks in the top six examples known. I purchased this coin in privately from a collector in the Southeastern U.S.
