This is a high end (for the grade) example of this Red Book and Registry 1803 Large 3 Draped Bust, Heraldic Eagle Dollar. While graded PCGS F12, this coin has claims to a higher grade in my opinion and experience. The 1803 B-6, BB-255 die marriage comes weakly struck, most notably in Liberty's hair and drapery on the obverse and the eagle's wings on the reverse. All of the shield lines are separated. The surfaces look more like what you'd find on a F15 or VF20 example. This coin is toned a nice medium brown on both sides with touches of medium gold around the edges.
