1798 $1 Pointed 9, 4 Vertical Lines B-16, BB-110 Draped Bust Dollar PCGS XF45

This is a very rare die marriage, with maybe 30-60 examples known, most of which are in much lower grades. This coin is struck from Bowers Die State I called the "Perfect Die State," with no sign of the die break that will form from the rim under Star 1 to the tops of the 179 in the date. Eventually a cud will form under Star 1 and towards the date, of which only one example is known. This coin is plated for the extremely rare die state in the second edition of the Bowers book on page 172.
