1797 $1 9X7 B-1, BB-73 Large Letters Draped Bust Dollar PCGS XF40

This 1797 B-1, BB-73 9X7 Stars, Large Letters reverse silver dollar is a well above average example of this date, type and die marriage. This coin was consigned by an advanced early dollar collector who recently upgrade this eye appealing coin to an AU example. Both the obverse and reverse are toned in an attractive medium to slightly darker gray color with traces of lustre (on an early dollar graded XF40!) at the edges. The reverse is particularly well struck for a DB, Small Eagle Reverse Dollar, with some feather detail still visible on the eagle's chest and virtually no circulation marks seen under a glass.
