1795 $1 3 Leaves B-22, BB-29, R-8 Flowing Hair Dollar PCGS VF Details

This is the Discovery Specimen for the die marriage, and one of only two examples known for the marriage. It was discovered by Charles Erb of ANACS in October 1997. It was sold privately to Jules Reiver by dealer Julian Leidman. Warren Miller purchased this coin in Heritage Auction's sale of the Jules Reiver Collection January 2006:23482, leaving Miller only one die marriage short of completing the collection of all 118 known die marriages at this time. In 2006 Miller was later able to acquire from W. David Perkins the last die marriage that he needed to complete the set.
