LDS of the LM-3 Die Marriage
This is a lustrous and very beautiful example of the first year of issue for the new Flowing Hair Half Dime. Not many 1794 FH Half Dimes have survived in this condition and this specimen is likely one of the Top 10 survivors. The obverse is toned in a light silver gray, with light peripheral gold toning at the edges. The reverse is toned in a light to medium gray and gold. This is stuck in a late die state of the LM-3 die marriage, with die cracks and clashing on the obverse, and die cracks also on the reverse. Purchased raw by the consignor in 2006 and now is graded PCGS MS64+. It has not been sent to CAC.
