R-6 Very Rare Die Marriage
Bolender & Bowers Plate Coin Second Edition
Second Finest Known for the Die Marriage

Product Description

This is an important coin and one of this author's favorite die marriages in the Miller Collection. It is also a beautiful coin. I tried to buy this exact coin twice from Warren Miller over the years and was finally successful when Andy Lustig and I bought the complete Miller Collection of early dollars! This is the second finest known example of the die marriage, and is the Bolender Plate Coin and Bowers Second Edition Plate coin. The finest known Specimen is the coin "in the banner on my website," graded PCGS MS62 CAC and with a large cud under the first star and towards the date. This coin is ex. Numismatic Gallery 1950; ex. Milferd H. Bolender Colleciton and the Boldender Plate coin; ex. Roland Willasch; ex. Ostheimer Collection and 1975 A.N.A. Sale:875; eventually to Miller via Larry Hanks at the 1991 CSNS Convention.
